  • 2 cups Frik
  • 200 grams Chicken (use whatever you want)
  • 2 cups Chickpeas
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 Potato
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Heads Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Red ground pepper
  • 1 Cinnamon (Stick)
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup Parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Ras Hanout
  1. First, let’s prepare the ingredients. onion, peel tomatoes, and blend them in the mixture. Prepare the chicken.

  2. Second, bring a pot, and add olive oil. Cut zucchini, carrots, and potato into pieces and not too small. Add them to the pot to fry a little. Stir for 5 minutes then add about 2 liters of water to the pot.

  3. Third, in a pressure cooker, on low heat, add olive oil and then the minced onion and the chicken pieces. Stir well for a couple of minutes until the onion becomes brown.

  4. Add the mixture of tomato, tomato paste, cinnamon, salt, Ras Hanout, black pepper, and red ground pepper. Stir for 3 minutes.

  5. Next, Add 1 liter of boiling water and increase the heat a little. Stir for 3 minutes. Add 2 liters of boiling water again and chickpeas. Cover the cooker and let it cook for 40 minutes.

  6. Now, let’s prepare the frik. When you buy frik from stores you have to wash it well before using it. After washing add 2 cups of it to the cooker. Let it cook for 15 minutes.

  7. After that, take out the veggies carrot, zucchini, and potato from the pot and put them in the mixture. Add garlic to them then blend them well.

  8. Next, add green pepper to the cooker. Add the mixed veggie as well. It’s better to add veggies slowly with stirring. After that, let it cook for 7 minutes.

  9. Finally, add 3 circles of lemon and parsley then turn the heat off. Let it rest for 10 minutes. With this our chorba frik soup is ready. Cheers!!!
