Ingredients

  • Diced cherry tomato
  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Black pepper
  • Chilli flakes
  • Oregano
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Basil
  • Pasta (any type you want)
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Let's start with our recipe. First, we will begin with the Pomodorina sauce. Dice 1 kilo of tomato and put it in a pot. Add 2 tsp of salt. Stir well for 1 minute then let it cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Don't forget to cover the pot.
  • Second, while the tomato is boiling, let's prepare the pasta. Bring a pot, and add water and a pinch of salt. When the water is boiled add the spaghetti or just cook it according to the instructions.
  • Third, After the pasta is cooked, drain it and put it aside.
  • Next, After 20 minutes, open the pot and add 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano, and 1 tsp chilli flakes. Stir well until you got a thick and glossy mixture.
  • After that, mince 6 garlic cloves and 1 small onion then put them saute for a couple of minutes.
  • Next, take the tomato mixture and put it in the blender. Blend it well until you get a nice thin tomato sauce.
  • Now, we are almost done. When you want to mix the pasta with Pomodorina sauce there are two ways depending on how you love to eat it. You can just pour the sauce over the spaghetti or simply you can dip the pasta in the sauce. It's up to you.
