How to make Pomodorina sauce?

Ingredients

  • Diced cherry tomato
  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Black pepper
  • Chilli flakes
  • Oregano
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Basil

Directions

  • First, Let's prepare the ingredients. Dice 1 kilo of tomato and put it in a pot. Add 2 tsp of salt. Stir well for 1 minute then let it cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Don't forget to cover the pot.
  • Second, After 20 minutes, open the pot and add 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano, and 1 tsp chilli flakes. Stir well until you got a thick and glossy mixture.
  • Third, mince 6 garlic cloves and 1 small onion then put them saute for a couple of minutes.
  • Next, take the tomato mixture and put it in the blender. Blend it well until you get a nice thin tomato sauce.
  • Finally, you can add some basil leaves to the mixture and with this, the pomodorina sauce is ready to use. Cheers!!!
