Ingredients
    Base ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Optional ingredients
  • Chocolate chips
  • Vanilla extract
  • Caramel sauce
  • Nutella
  • Peanut butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the large bowl and mix well.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the large bowl, mixing well after each addition.

  6. Add milk to the large bowl and mix until smooth.

  7. Fold in any optional ingredients such as chocolate chips, caramel sauce, Nutella, or peanut butter at this point.

  8. Grease a waffle iron and scoop the batter into it, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

  9. Close the waffle iron and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Remove the waffle cookie from the iron and place it on a wire rack to cool.

Note
  • Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature before starting.
  • Use a good quality waffle iron for best results.
  • Do not overmix the batter as this can make the cookies tough.
  • Adjust the cooking time according to your waffle iron’s instructions and your preferred level of crispiness.
