Ingredients

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Semolina
  • Sugar syrup
  • Rose water
  • Blossom water
  • Crushed almonds
  • Cream

Directions

  • Let’s prepare our delicious sweet Halawet el Jibn. First, in a pan on low heat, add 500 ml water, and 200 grams of sugar. Stir until the sugar melts. It’s better to use a wooden spoon.
  • Second, After the sugar melted well, add 750 grams of mozzarella cheese. Keep stirring until the mozzarella melts and becomes like a dough.
  • Third, add gradually 270 grams of soft semolina. Stir permanently until you get a real dough and all the water is gone. Add 1 tbsp of blossom water, 1 tbsp of rose water, and 2 tbsp of sugar syrup. Stir well for about 10 minutes.
  • Next, take the cheese dough and spread it on a flat surface, and make a rectangular. It’s better to use a rolling pin.
  • After that, add some cream on the edge of the dough then roll it. Make it like rolls filled with cream. Cut the rolls into small pieces.
  • Finally, you can add some crushed almonds and honey above the rolls. Cheers!!!
